Which download should I choose?
Choose Lite if Microsoft WebView2 Runtime is installed on your PC. Choose Full for a larger download with WebView2 included. Both are Windows x64 builds and ship as one Wingmate EXE.
Does Wingmate need administrator access?
Yes. Native network capture requires administrator privileges. Wingmate requests Windows elevation on launch; cancelling that prompt exits the app. Npcap is optional, not required for native capture.
What if the overlay shows no damage?
Check Settings → Capture, confirm the game process name and restart capture. Native capture supports IPv4 TCP; VPN accelerators, IPv6 and loopback traffic may need the optional Npcap backend. Capture diagnostics can be enabled under Appearance → Developer.
Does it collect or upload my combat data?
Combat records and companion notes are stored locally. Optional updates request a signed release feed and download from this server; combat data is not uploaded by the updater.
Are healing and Kinah totals available?
Not yet. Recognized personal damage, hits and deaths are available. Healing, currency, gathering and automatic dungeon-clearing metrics remain under protocol research. Manual dungeon notes and checklists are available.
How do updates work?
Enable updates in Settings → Capture. Wingmate checks a signed version feed and verifies the publisher signature, download size and checksum before installing into AppData. Your settings and activity history are preserved.
Is Wingmate an official AION 2 product?
No. Wingmate is an independent community tool. AION and associated names belong to their respective owners. Use is subject to the game's rules; this site does not promise approval by the game publisher.
